Delegation of the German parliament visits the Mekong Delta

A delegation of the budget committee of the German Bundestag (parliament) visited several German-funded projects for climate change adaptation in Vietnam from 5-11 March 2023. The CRMGG team leader Andreas Renck, together with colleagues from GIZ and KfW, accompanied the delegation on the part of their tour to the Vietnamese Mekong Delta. The delegation was briefed in-depth on the current situation and challenges surrounding (ground)water management and land subsidence, and the work of BGR with MONRE/NAWAPI and several provinces in the delta.
