Drilling of monitoring well at new ASR site in Nga Bay
The “Partners for Water” project has successfully drilled a new monitoring well down to a depth of 210 m. A medium coarse sandy aquifer (qp1) was found and will be screened from 168 -188 m depth, while clay aquitards were found above (150-156 m) and below (195-206 m). The well has been developed and a short pumping test was conducted. Sediment samples were collected and will be send to BGR in Hannover for a range of analyses.
