MONRE research project on big data analysis software nearing the finishing line
On Oct 30th 2024 NAWAPI conducted a workshop on the MONRE research project TNMT.2023.04.07 “Research and development of big data analysis software to support water resources warning and forecasting”. The project is running from 02/2023 to 12/2024 under the principal investigator Dang Tran Trung (Vice-head of CEWAFO). The project team presented the big data system, available open data sources and the big data analysis software for warning and forecasting.

NAWAPI Vice General Director Dr. Huy and Ms Van (head of CEWAFO) had a number of questions, how the presented software is integrated in the big data system supported by CRMGG and how it can be connected to the decision support system used by CEWAFO. Participants from MONRE and HUNRE wanted to know how semi-structured and non-structured data like images or satellite data can be integrated into the big data system; how the real-time data are processed and how the software will be followed up (i.e update, adjust according to feedback from users…).
This MONRE projects’ products will be finalized by November 10th to be submitted to MONRE for approval.
