Training on Digital Transformation and Big Data
On August 30, 2024, at the National Center for Water Resources Planning and Investigation, a training session was held to introduce recent developments of the digital transformation with the prominent outcome of a Big Data System.
Participated in the training were Deputy General Directors of the Center, including Mr. Trieu Duc Huy, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha and Mr. Pham Huy Thong, together with all the leaders, related staff and employees of the units and affiliated divisions belonging to the Center.
At his opening remarks, Mr. Trieu Duc Huy emphasized on the importance of digital transformation and the determination of the Government, MONRE and NAWAPI in the water sector and social economic development of Vietnam in general. According to Dr. Huy, the training session was considered an opportunity for the IT teams to present the technology solutions (Big Data, IoT) and obtain feedback to fine-tune the system currently under development. He especially called for cooperation from all the NAWAPI units to prepare the input data for ingestion into the system.
At the heart of the training, the digital transformation team presented the outcomes of the information technology infrastructure system, an overview of Big Data, its main functions and how to work with the system. An IoT solution in monitoring was also presented and received positive feedback from the participants.
In a nut shell, the training session was a milestone event to introduce the advantages of Big Data as well as to reemphasize the determination of NAWAPI to implement its digital transformation strategy. Quality discussions and constructive comments collected will be important for NAWAPI to achieve their digital transformation targets in the first phase of 2020-2025.
