This Master thesis was prepared by Bettina Schmidt under the collaboration of Disy Informationssysteme GmbH, Karlsruhe and the BGR Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (IGPVN project) parallel with the collaboration of Disy and the R&D project ViWaT-Mekong-Planning which is coordinated by EE+E Environmental Engineering and Ecology, Ruhr University of Bochum. The thesis discusses contamination risks for groundwater as one aspect of groundwater protection in the Mekong delta according to Decree 167/2018/NĐ-CP.
