Digital transformation progress meeting with BGR expert

On October 15, 2024, BGR and NAWAPI convened for a meeting to conclude the stay of BGR IT-expert Mr. Erich Muhire. NAWAPI was represented by Mr. Than Van Don and Ms. Le Thi Mai Van. Dr. Nelly Montcoudiol (technical coordinator from BGR headquarters) highlighted the objectives of the Digital Transformation support by BGR and the internal benchmarks that were recently defined to measure a) data integration into the Big Data system, b) system use by NAWAPI staff, and c) external data sharing. Then Erich Muhire described the status of the digital transformation based on the Big Data architecture diagram. He outlined that he will provide remote support to the IT team until the end of the year to finalize the last tasks i.e. to make the Big Data system fully functional and to document how to manage the system.
