Progress meeting on Digital Transformation Output

On December 7, BGR and NAWAPI had a short meeting to discuss on the work items under the Digital Transformation Component. Representatives of BGR, including IT expert – Mr. Erich Muhire, Mr. Trieu Duc Huy and NAWAPI officers participated in discussions relating to work status and Mr. Erich’s work plan during his time in Vietnam until the end of this year and briefly about next year 2024. The indicators to evaluate the success of the Component were also discussed. At the end of the meeting, two technical staff from ESRI Vietnam was invited to present about the AE system of ArcGIS Enterprise software that was provided for NAWAPI for test run and answered related questions from the German experts.

In frame of the Project ‘’Resilient Management of Groundwater and Geohazards (CRMGG), BGR has supported NAWAPI in Digital Transformation Strategy. The project has provided with hard ware infrastructure and various training for NAWAPI. Initially, the project has successfully built the Bigdata software, which will soon help to store and connect data from the Divisions. All water resources data, including real time monitoring data will then be transmitted to the centralized Bigdata which serves for better management of water resources of NAWAPI.
