Checking the current status of monitoring wells and equipment in Bac Lieu
On November 12 and 13, 2024, the CRMGG Project sent experts to coordinate with staff of the Department of Water Resources, Climate Change and Sea (Bac Lieu DONRE) to check the current status of SEBA automatic data transmission monitoring equipment at the monitoring wells in Ganh Hao Town – Dong Hai District and Ninh Thanh Loi Commune – Hong Dan District and re-instruct the DONRE staff on how to use and operate the equipment.
Previously, in 2022, the CRMGG Project supported Bac Lieu DONRE in renovate the above-mentioned wells (originally research and exploration wells) and install the water level monitoring equipment system to automatically transmit data to the server of Bac Lieu DONRE.
The groundwater level monitoring data is expected to be supportive for groundwater resource management in Bac Lieu province in particular and in the Mekong Delta region in general.
