A contract of 6 months will be offered with the chance to extend it over the duration of the project until end of June 2017. The project aims to support the development of national policies for groundwater protection and the improvement of groundwater management in the coastal areas of the Mekong Delta. A large part of the project activities will be focused on a pilot area in one of the coastal provinces.<\/p>\n<p>The employee will represent the project team in the Mekong Delta and work in close cooperation with the National Center for Water Resources Planning and Investigation, the Division for Water Resources Planning and Investigation in the South (DWRPIS), and the Departments of Natural Resources and Environment (DONRE) of the provinces. His\/her main responsibility is to collect and assess existing hydrogeological data and to support and carry out hydrogeological field work to extend and improve the hydrogeological understanding of the pilot area. The acquired data and preliminary analysis will provide the basis for a envisaged numerical modeling and the development of water management proposals.<\/p>\n<h3>Place of Work<\/h3>\n<p>Office: Ho Chi Minh City (BGR office)<\/p>\n<p>Regular visits to Hanoi and Mekong Delta provinces (esp.
